Stuff You Wanted to Know

Posted on: Saturday

1. I made a goal at the beginning of the year to read 50 books by the end of the year. I'm currently on book 29. I definitely watch less tv because of it! How I Met Your Mother is just going to have to wait until I reach this goal, sorry Ted.

2. I've only gone camping three times this year, thanks a lot rainy summer!! But the first camping trip was insane. More on that later.

3. Despite a rainy summer I've eaten more s'mores than you can count. Or that I can count. I. WILL. EAT. ALL. THE. S'MORES.

4. Pendl's no longer makes sandwiches. R.I.P. grilled cheese. But! The health food store now makes the most amazing sandwiches I've ever eaten. Beat that Pendls! Just kidding, I'm actually in love with everything Pendls. Sorry, Martha.

5. I've been able to wear my leather jacket for a good part of summer.. I guess rainy summers aren't entirely the worst?? Maybe? ...maybe....????? No, give me some sunshine already PLEASE!

Boston Socks

Sixteen year old Chelsey would be very proud that I finally got my hair that cotton candy colored blue. The first time I ever dyed my hair an unconventional color it turned into a bright blue. Not exactly what I had been looking for but it paved the way to every other color under the sun. Except this cotton candy colored blue. Until now! Well, I mean back in May. You know how it goes.

SLC // Explore

So this was another post that was supposed to go up back in March ha ha. The boyfriend and I took weekend trip down to the good old SLC to celebrate his birthday. See that blonde hair? Whoa. It's not even blonde anymore! Or blue. Or purple. Or silvery grey. It's back to black. And you didn't even really get to see any of those stages my hair went through because I didn't really get around to taking pictures. Ridiculous, I know. But life happens.

An Evening With Neil Gaiman

Whoops. Sometimes I save posts but never post them. Or sometime's I go months without posting anything.. Huh. Anywayyyyy... I saw Neil Gaiman?? Back in March ha.... It was the coolest thing in the world. We didn't get to meet him or anything but it was still pretty rad. We did get to meet Cinamon Hadley who is reportedly the inspiration behind Neil Gaimans comic book character Death. And that was a pretty intimidating experience in itself! Super tall, goth girl who is just completely unaware of the curious stares she gets. But also one of the nicest girls I've had the chance to meet. If only we got to meet Neil Gaiman though. If only..

Ch-ch-ch-changes

Posted on: Monday

Soo it's definitely been too long since I've posted on here. Long enough that I've changed my hair color almost a month and a half ago! Blonde. What was I THINKING?! I had pitch BLACK HAIR for Gods sake!!! Also, I changed it all in one day. 12 hours in the salon, Whaaaat?? I'm surprised my hair didn't fall out! But I swear I didn't go into it as a complete idiot. I did my research, I promise.

So there's this new product called Olaplex which is A M A Z I N G. It's the reason I was able to do four bleaches on my hair in one day. Trust me when I say that you do not ever want to strip color from your hair without this stuff. After the first bleach my hair felt softer than when it originally felt when I came in. Second bleach same story. Third bleach, still that perfect softness. The fourth bleach was where my hair started to feel a little damaged... So we decided to call it quits with the bleach and stick to the toner. But it turns out four bleaches was all I needed anyway.

So why blonde you might ask? I've never really cared to be blonde to be honest. But once upon a time in those old high school days when my hair was every color under the sun I had an at home bleach kit... I was stripping out some old blue so that I could put some bright red in and I might have left the bleach in a little too long because my hair turned platinum blonde a la Gwen Stefani. I thought it was pretty rad but I fucked my hair up so bad with that cheap bleach that it took forever to grow my hair out to healthy hair again. But when I heard how amazing Olaplex was I knew I had to give it a real shot, because why the hell not?

Grand Targhee

Kinda sad that it's been almost two months since these pictures were taken and I'm barely getting around to posting them! Work happens, classes happen, life happens. But I will try to get around to posting the pictures that I'm always taking. I hope..

Marlborough Sounds // Explore

I think my favorite day in New Zealand would have to be when we drove around Marlborough Sounds. It was the first day back to school for students so it seemed like we were the only ones on the road. We must've passed maybe two cars the entire drive, that's how dead it was. We drove down to some random dock and just hung out for a good part of the day. And that was my favorite day in New Zealand...
